As we settle into the new year, you might have noticed something different around here. We’ve rolled out a significant visual update to FlowFiction, and we wanted to share the thinking behind it.

Designed for Writers

Our previous look served us well, but as we listened to your feedback, we realized that a writing platform needs to feel less like a "tech tool" and more like a creative studio. We wanted to move away from the cold, functional blues and grays that dominate the software world.

The new FlowFiction theme is built on a foundation of warmth and texture.

• Paper-like Comfort: We've introduced soft, off-white backgrounds that mimic the feel of quality paper. It’s easier on the eyes during long writing sessions and feels more organic.
• Warm Accents: Our new color palette draws from burnt oranges and deep coffee browns—colors that evoke cozy reading nooks and well-worn leather notebooks.
• Focus First: We've stripped away unnecessary visual noise. The interface is cleaner, letting your words take center stage.

A Belated 2026 Welcome

We know we’re a couple of weeks into January, but we couldn't let the moment pass without acknowledging the year ahead.

2026 is going to be a big year for collaborative storytelling. We have an exciting roadmap of features planned that will give you even more control over your narratives while keeping the AI helpful, not intrusive. We're doubling down on tools that help you finish your stories, from advanced outlining to smarter character consistency.
